WHAT IT IS AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

A microdermabrasion treatment utilises a vacuum that pulls the skin to an abrasive pad. This pad exfoliates your dry, dull skin while stimulating circulation, and rejuvenating your skin. Each treatment removes one to two layers of dead skin cells, depending on the condition being treated. The depth of treatment is determined by the trained operator and controlled through the speed of the handpiece, the abrasiveness of the exfoliation pad and the number of passes. Since each treatment is customised, you will be treated in a setting adjusted to your comfort levels.

WHAT DOES MICRODERMABRASION TREAT?

Microdermabrasion has been clinically proven to significantly reduce the appearance of:

  • Wrinkles;
  • Fine lines;
  • Scarring;
  • Stretch marks;
  • Age/sun spots;
  • Enlarged pores;
  • Clogged pores;
  • Flaking & dry skin; and
  • Uneven pigmentation.

The best candidate for microdermabrasion wishes to improve the appearance of their skin and is willing to take an active role in protecting and maintaining the results. Microdermabrasion improves the overall appearance and tone, resulting in smoother and healthier skin.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO YOU NEED?

Your personalised regime will be adapted for the skin condition being treated and your desired results. The number of treatments can vary from 4 to 12, depending on the severity of your condition and treatment goals. Stretch marks and acne scarring require the greatest number of treatments. Microdermabrasion treatments should be performed 7 to 14 days apart. After your desired results have been achieved, maintenance treatments every three months are generally recommended.
